Sundance Film Festival

On friday my awesome friend Emily called me, and said that her boss had given her tickets to a film being shown at the festival that night, and wanted to know if I wanted to come with. Of course, I did! I've never been up to Park City for that before, so it was exciting! The film we saw was called "The Company Men" with Ben Affleck and Tommy Lee Jones. Its about a young guy(Affleck) who is a big shot, and gets laid off right at the beginning of the movie. He's upset and goes to his golfing buddy supierior(Jones) but is still let go. Craig T Nelson, from the show Coach, is the President of the company, and its basically a story of how he wants more and more money for himself, and doesnt care about all the employees that made him his money in the first place. And about how the three main characters(Affleck, Jones and Chris Cooper) adjust and deal with the drastic change in there lives. It was a really well written story, and it was easy to relate to because of the recent economy. So After the movie, the director came out and talked about the story and allowed the audience to ask questions to himself and the stars. So of course I snapped a few shots... but I so was not the only one. I also saw Niles Crane from the show Frazier at the screening. Well I practically walked into him because I wasnt watching where I walking and looking for a good seat. Emily got a kick out of how excited I was about that.

Lost

So I just finished Season 1.
This show is crazy okay. Here's a little piece of advice from me, dont watch the episodes right before bed. Because one, you'll want to keep watching to see what happens next. And two you will either stay up thinking about it or dream about it. Or you could be lucky and get a combo of both! Here's a little synopsis of how I feel about the characters. In not particular order of course

*Jack- He can be my Dr anyday thank you!

*Sawyer- He's hot. Thank you Dr Jack for giving him the glasses, even hotter. I feel like he makes himself out to be a bad guy to protect a tender heart. we will see.

*Kate- I like her. She's complicated

*Claire- Okay, I really feel like they cast her for the part because of her insane scream. But she's cute and I love her accent.

*Charlie- Love him. Love that he's fighting his inner demons, and that he and Claire love each other.

*Sayid- I think he's a valuable asset for the group.

*Sun- I still dont get why she lied about speaking english.... dumb

*Chin- I like how his character is developing

*Michael- I find him annoying... that is all

*Walt- How fun for a kid to get to explore the island. Butttt kid needs to stop being so bratty.

*Boone- He was hot. I thought he'd be around for a while but alas he died.

*Shannon- Is a spoiled little brat. Hope she gets better

*Locke- I cant decide if he's a good guy or a bad guy.

*Hurley- he's pretty much my favorite

Ive already started Season 2

So here are somethings I've been thinking about:
Isnt it strange that the dude down the hatch is the guy Jack met while running the stadium steps?
They've been there over 45 days and there just now finding more people, like the dudes that took Walt and the random girl thrown into the pit. Im just saying that if I was on an island, Id go exploring.
Also what the heck with the like yetti crazy alarm system animal. Cause if your on a desereted island then theres got to be some crazy unknown animal residing there that wants to kill them.
I feel like the Russo(french lady) is crazy. And taking them for a crazy ride. Anddd she's a baby snatcher.

That is all for now

The Lovely Bones

Went out with Angela, Emily and Jenny last night to chili's and then to see the lovely bones. I needed some girl time. But sadly, its another case of the book, being hundreds of times better than the movie.

Shop Shoppin with Daddy-O

So on friday I went shopping with my dad. He wants to buy a new treadmill, so we went to fashion place mall to check them out. As we were walking around we noticed a provo craft booth, that I'd never seen there before. She had a green cricut expression. My white one is feeling a little boring now that there coming out with colored ones. But me, being me... I cut out some pink vinyl flowers so its cute. Anyways, this little booth was great! They had the majority of the cartridges for $36. There were like two for $65 and two for $29. They also had the Your Story
which is a laminating and binding machine. They had this great bundle from the infomerical(I love infomercials!) that was $99. It came with the Your Story, this awesome paper trimmer with 4 different blades, 2 different sized laminating stuff, and 5 different sized books. Oh for the low, low price of $36. So Id been telling my dad I needed a paper trimmer for a while, and the one he wanted to get was a lot more expensive so of course we couldnt pass that bargin by. I wanted to buy a cartridge too, but I had too many choices so I couldnt decide. So we walked around the mall and then stopped by again on our way to the car. I decided on the Songbird cartridge
I love the font, its so cute, and its springy so I really like that too. I only had the plantin schoolbook with a font before and its too boring so Ive been wanting a cuter font. So I went to pay for it, and all I had was cash and they only took credit or debit so my Dad got to pay for it! Haha, and I added on the tags, bags, boxes & more cartridge
And added together both of those is still cheaper than buying them at Roberts! (Dont worry I gave my dad the cash for them) I really liked this cartridge too. She had some little boxes she'd made up as favors for her daughters wedding and they were sooo cute! We stopped by Heartland Paper on the way home, and I got some valentine paper to make candy boxes for my nieces and nephews. I always give them valentine goodies, but this year they'll be in cute little boxes!
